On relighting I increasingly get a woodsy scent like new-cut oak, which at times is so strong I wonder whether I'm actually burning the briar of the bowl (though no fear of this, as the bowl is well-carbonised)

In the US, people tend to differentiate more between spliffs, joints, and blunts, while in Europe, the line between spliff and joint can sometimes blur
